Building an ‘alternative exchange’ tracker app with RMIT University

What would an app for alternative exchanges look like?

An app where you could log the number of swaps you made in a month, or trades via collaborative economy platforms, or donations to a crowdfunding platform? Is it be possible to form localised communities around pockets of savers, or introduce saving pledges?

Working out the answers to these questions (and a number of others!) is the basis of our new partnership with RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Over a twelve week semester, RMIT MBA students on the Business and Innovation course are helping us to develop a MoE Labs app.

We are grateful to MoE Labs member Katherine Noall, for helping to set up this opportunity. Once the development period is complete, we plan to trial the app with different MoE communities around the world. We will be sharing progress as we go!
