We use creative approaches to build awareness of alternative economic models, and connect these ideas with new sectors

MoE Labs is a collaborative network of key practitioners from across a range of new economy initiatives. Through research, public speaking and bespoke tools, we help businesses, community organisations and charities incorporate new economy approaches into their work. We deliver projects that creatively engage people in issues relating to local economic empowerment. Our members bring global expertise from projects that involve sophisticated technology (such as cryptocurrencies) to traditional community based initiatives (such as time banking or skills exchange).

Research and Assessment

Curious about concepts such as sharing platforms or digital currencies, but not sure whether these mechanisms are compatible with your objectives? Ask us! We can help scope out new projects or evaluate your current setup, coming up with suggestions. Our network combines academic professionals with strong research credentials, with those who know how to make complicated ideas accessible to a wide audience.

Workshop Facilitation and Public Speaking

Tap into the knowledge of the MoE Labs network by asking us to speak at your event or lead a workshop. Our network have considerable experience in this area, and we can point you to a range of lively, interactive talks shared online that have sparked questions and generated new ideas. Workshops may target a specific area of interest or serve as a briefing introduction for those who are new to the subject.

Building bespoke and open source tools

Our network have considerable experience building low and hi-tech tools to support the work of ventures with community or social impact aims. Whether the tool is an app, a game, or is still at the concept stage, we can help you with design, testing and build. We work with the technological capacity of your target community and do not advocate expensive - but unnecessary - digital development.
